Individual counseling can be is as unique as individuals are themselves!

I work with people on many issues, and some of the identified concerns that I’ve helped people address are listed below.

  • Self-esteem, self-worth

  • Depression and/or Anxiety

  • Grief and Loss

  • Relationship Issues

  • Postpartum Depression/Distress

  • Stress Management/Resilience

  • Anger Management

  • Work and Career Issues

  • Divorce Adjustment

  • Anger Management

  • Drugs/alcohol/addictions

  • LifePath Transitions

  • Domestic Violence

  • Caregiver Stress

I would describe my approach as eclectic therapy, which is an open, integrative form of therapy that adapts to the unique needs of each specific client, depending on the problem, the treatment goals, and the person’s expectations and motivation. I draw from a variety of disciplines and may use a range of proven methods to determine the best combination of therapeutic tools to help you.

I use evidence-based techniques used in different types of therapy that have been proven to help with specific problems. These include modalities such as Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral, Existential, Dialectical Behavioral and others.  The most complete form of therapy evaluates seven different modes: behavior, affect, sensation, imagery, cognition, interpersonal relationships, and consideration of drugs and client biology.

Using a flexible approach, I can tailor the therapeutic process to your needs and determine which modes and methods will be most helpful.
